Summer Camp Care

We use the HighScope curriculum for our children. Weekly lesson plans are posted in each classroom, which connects to each child’s developmental needs. It is a balanced program that addresses social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills that affect each child and are used in everyday life.

HighScope creates high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning tools that give children a creative, integrated, hands-on learning experience.

Little Blessings Day Care is a participant in the Child Care Food Program. This program ensures that your child is fed nutritious meals, including fruits, vegetables, and dairy products.

We will provide the children with a nutritional breakfast in the morning (from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.) as well as a well-balanced lunch (from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) and a snack session (from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.).

Little Blessings Daycare's before/aftercare program serves children that attend school during the major portion of their day. The children are escorted to and from a designated bus stop located at or near the daycare facility.

Children are supplied breakfast before school in the morning and snacks when they arrive in the afternoon. We provide an area for our children in this program to participate in educational activities and games. This program offers a time frame for children to do homework as well.

Delaware Stars

Little Blessings Day Care is rated Star Level 5 which is the highest level of achievement for programs in Delaware Stars. To reach a Star Level 5, a program must achieve a minimum of a 5.40 on each of the ERS (Environment Rating Scales) assessments for their programs to earn 80-100 quality points through the verification quality standards.

How Do Ratings Work?

Delaware Stars Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) is based on two key components: A formal assessment of the program environment using the ERS (Environment Rating Scales) which is a reliable, independent observation of the programs classroom or home environment.
A verification that the program meets high quality standards in four areas: Family and Community Partnerships, Qualifications and Professional Development, Management and Administration, and Learning Environment and Curriculum.
